I received the text. I was livid. They had crossed the boundary for the umpteenth time. I had things I wanted to text back, I was so angry, and felt, well, again, taken advantage of. I held back. I did not respond. I did a 20 minute meditation and then went to a group meeting with like minded people. During the meeting, we did a meditation about what we needed to release, feelings, roles, etc. My vivid imagination saw a batting cage with baseballs coming out filled with what I wanted to release, and they just kept coming. After the meditation, I felt much lighter. As we were leaving the meeting, I checked my phone for messages, and those that had crossed the boundary earlier had sent another message and backtracked. They came up with another solution. My first response was to say, “No, that’s ok, I’ll do it.” But I held my ground and texted back, “That will work, thanks!” No big arguments, no hurting words, just releasing and allowing the Universe to work its magic. One of the others at the meeting had brought up the word “surrender”. And I did, I surrendered to the situation, allowed myself to feel what it was I feeling, and at the same time, respecting me. I think surrender gets a bad rap. We’ve been taught that it is weak, we are raising the white flag, we are giving in to something we don’t want to do. I looked up the defintion, and one of them hit me, “give up control”. Oh, there is that control issue again, that things had to go my way. Or there was only one solution, mine. Not having to control this current situation, gave the others the opportunity to come up with their own solutions. I didn’t lose anything by surrendering to the situation, in fact, I gained, because it was one more time I stood my ground and my boundary was kept intact. Is my name being slung through the mud? Could be. Do I care? Not a bit. Will they do it again? Oh, most likely. Sooner or later they will get the message. I would rather it be sooner than later, I can always hope! Blessings.
